Another not-so-lucky number for me

I wrote earlier about my phone number in China, which included the numbers 14114 (“I want to die — I want, I want to die!”).

Well, yesterday I was handed my new license plates. All the plates in Arizona start with three numbers followed by three letters. So of all the combinations of three numbers there are in the world, which combination is mine?

911.

Oh, dear. My deepest sympathies. Although, come to think of it, this might be proof that if there is a deity up there, He/She has a warped sense of humor.

Thanks; if I could deal with “14114” for a year in China, I can surely deal with everyone looking at my car and wondering what i did to deserve such an ill-fated number.
