You can make your nominations now. I will not be in the running this year, but there are many, many other sublime Asian blogs waiting for your nomination.

Ohhhhhh… with the new judging criteria, I can see the Asian Blog Awards have moved in the direction of the Hong Kong LegCo and CE elections.
Not only will I avoid this awards show, I’ll actively boycott it.

Anytime that an unnamed panel of judges becomes the final arbiters on purely subjective terms of who wins and who loses, you’ve gone the way of Richard Daley and Hong Kong’s Committee of 800.
Then there is the whole aspect of judging whether a blog is good or the best based upon Technorati rank, though even that is to be tempered by some subjective judgement of the panel of judges of what constitutes excessive blog link circle jerking. (and looking at the WaPo editorial page and their graphic from Technorati of what’s hot and what’s not, tells me that when it comes to links, there’s a lot more circle jerking going on than not in the blogosphere in order to propel your cause de jeure to prominence.)
