Am I blocked in China (again)?

So two readers have emailed me. Maybe it’s a June 4 thing? Whatever it is, I hope that, as usual, it lifts shortly.

No, it seems to have been a server problem, now corrected.

I’m able to access TPD from here in Shandong.

Thanks Kevin – maybe a false alarm. Both emailers are in Beijing, so it could be one of those odd geographical phenomena that no one seems able to explain.

I was not able to access TPD here in Perth for about half an hour from 7.00PM. It dropped out half way when I was trying to post a comment at the Duckpond. I presumed that your server was down for repair.

Well, it was Tiananmen Square massacre season, and two readers wrote to say I was blocked, and my site has been blocked more than once – and it was a question, not a statement of fact, so no, I don’t see it as paranoia.

I am in Henan province and have not been able to open gmail today. Firefox tells me I cannot open google.com.
But, oddly, googlechat is working as long as someone else initiates the contact.
