Always living up to his reputation as a crude, foul-mouthed racist (and then some), radio talk show tyrant Mike Savage just went on a rant about the Chinese.
SAVAGE: [apparently reading from an article in USA Today] “Researchers have surprising news about what breeds of dogs came first and which dogs are more closely related.” What do I give a rat’s behind about which dog is related? Why is this study done? All I know is we treat dogs very well here, and the great originators of the dog eat them. How come they don’t put that in their story about ’em, the Asians still chew ’em up? In China they’re in cages waiting to be cooked. Yeah, I know, you’re not supposed to say that. All the quiet, sacred soy eaters over there.
Of course, this is just one more example of Savage’s loathing of anyone who isn’t white. And to think, MSNBC gave him his own TV show not that long ago. (They fired him after he expressed glee at the idea of gays dying of AIDS; what a charming man.)

I don’t see how anybody takes this guy seriously. I listen to show because it’s a scream.

I want to think you’re right. I always listened to Savage Nation for the laughs — but conservatives dish out big bucks to buy his books, like they do for Ann Coulter and Sean Hannity. Savage has a following and they see him as a prophet. Unbelievable.

Certain types of people like the crude, rude and crazy in America; like TV wrestling. The thing is that some how it got legitimated into a style of thinking. Bash, bash and bash again. It’s a game for them. Intelligent, factually correct “bashing” back maybe a way to change the tone of the “dialogue” to get rid of the worst of it.

Savage is an offensive bigotted ass but, it is true that “in China [dogs are] in cages waiting to be cooked.” Seen ’em myself.
I also ate one once in Vietnam.
And if anyone breaths a word of the last to my English bull terrier, I’ll have their ass.

Conrad, sure he’s right that the Chinese eat dog (and anything else that moves). It just the way that he says it that’s so sickening.

Why is it so wrong to kill and eat a dog. Yea, it has been a tradition in the Western societies to keep them as pets but, why is it not wrong to eat other animals, like a duck, cow, chicken, or pig. the reason is that it is our culture. But, to force our culture on other cultures is wrong also. Forbarence is needed. why is there war, the reason is over clashes with culture and beliefs. this may sound to extreme, but it is in the same catigory. I just say, let the asians eat their dog, we as Americans have no right to force our culture on other societies, or countries.

Thoughts on guys named Michael
Been reading various blogs on different guys named Michael (Jackson, Savage, Moore, etc) and figured that pretty much every blog I have come across hasn’t figured out that there is a conspiracy to turn them into IT people in order…
