Harisu Menstrual Pads?

Danwei, ever vigilant, has the story.

For those who may have forgotten, Harisu is the gorgeous Korean model readers were salivating over until they learned she used to be a he.

Update: Apparently the Korean transexual sensation is also working as a sex counselor. Busy lady. (Link via a commenter below.)

Let’s give back to Caesar…

Marmot had it before anybody else (since he most probably translated the news in English @ Chosun that the others are quoting)

So, she’s giving sex counselling now?? Any idea of her rates?

No, but even if I needed counselling (I don’t, for the record :-), (s)he’s not the one I’d go to…
How much is his/her head messed up is anybody’s guess, and should be a deterrent enough. However, that’s peanuts compared to the other argument: (s)he ain’t a doctor, heck, (s)he ain’t got any education… That would worry me more than anything else…

Sorry to get all serious on a rather lightweight subject, but I’m not sure if that’s a fair conclusion, that Harisu’s “head is messed up.” From what I know, most transexuals prior to their surgery feel that they were miscast in the wrong body — that they were really meant to be of the opposite sex. The surgery lets them be, finally, what they believe they were meant to be. So to conclude that because she had a sex change Harisu must now be screwed up — I’m just not sure it’s fair. Couldn’t it be that she has now attained a level of serenity to which most of us can only dream to aspire? After all, here she is, a world-famous model, a promoter of the highest-quality menstrual pads and a sex counsellor! (Not to mention the talk of God knows how many blogs.)

Thanks dda. It’s nice to know my efforts to reduce the article quality over at English Chosun.com are being appreciated, as I look at it as my solemn duty to keep the the English speaking world informed about Harisu and Korean racing girls.

Well, Richard, listen to him/her speak and judge for yourself. This head there is messed up alright (yes, I speak Korean, and live in Korea).

dda, thanks for the clarifying — I didn’t know harisu was nutty, just beautiful.

I hate to admit it, but she sure had me the first time I saw her….then I heard her speak. Yikes!!!

Unlike many people in this world, at least she is being herself.

Richard,

Do you really think someone who has had a sex change is really mentally clear enough to counsel others?

S/he may be beautiful, but obviously s/he still has issues of her own.

I don’t know if transexualism indicates mental or emotional instability. I do know there are many balanced, intelligent and relatively happy people out there who have had sex changes.
