A dawn of a new era as KFC goes from grease and sugar to fiber and Vitamin C.
What’s the fun of eating at KFC if you can’t feel your arteries hardening with every bite?

is there a difference? while i was in shanghai this spetember, i noticed all the juice has added sugar. i didn’t compare the label (and what is good in that?). but judging from the taste, i don’t think the oj is less sweet than pepsi.

Agreed Kevin. I noticed the change in our local KFC about two weeks ago. (I’m living not too far away from Shanghai.)
The sweet-corn “salad” contains a fat-filled dressing. And the juice is just as synthetic as pepsi. Have you seen the colour of it? Fluorescent orange. And it’s tooth-rottingly sweet.

haha. i know. for a minute. i thought the oj could glow in the dark.
chinese food industry just use food colors (or industrial colors, for that matter) and artificial flavors without much of restrictions and seems never even bother to pause to think if the stuff added is safe.
i had some vegetable bun in shanghai. took a bite, and saw the filling was this pure un-natural green. needless to say, i threw it away. too scary.
it is not that china lacks of regulations on food, there are sooooo many, state and provincial. but just seems no one bothers to follow them; and the worst part is customers don’t seem care much either. the attitude i heard was, “uh, what are you going to do? you have to eat anyway.”
sigh…

I came across this about 2 weeks ago. I went to get my fried wings meal, and all of the sudden without noticing i had all these veggies. i had them switch back to fries, but i still got the juice instead of coke. man, that’s the last time i’ll ever space out at KFC.
