It’s nice to know we don’t just doodle and navel-gaze all day. We might actually be making a difference. (If you haven’t seen Battlepanda’s impressive list of bloggers who are taking up this cause, check it out. We can stand shoulder to shoulder with even the most repellent right-wing sites if the cause is a just one.)

Richard,
How come you have not writing a thing about Taiwan? Are you still in Taiwan? It’s a chaotic time for Taiwan. I am tired of reading news and would like to read something from a very different prospective by a foreigner.
When your body was in US, your soul in Asia. When your body in Asia, your soul in US. Looks like you can never put them together! Well probably a lot us can’t either.
BTW: Richard, you really should fly to Beijing this weekend, for the first culture festival of the same-sex relationships. My jaw was dropped on the keyboard when I read the news. You can’t imagine how open China is today. Give you something to seesee

By far the majority of my posts are still about China, not the US. I haver not written about Taiwan yet for a number of reasons, the primary reason being I am simply too busy with my new job. As you can see, most of my posts nowadays are brief commentary on breaking news, and not the long essay-type posts I like to write about my life in Asia. Unfortunately, it’s impossible for me to write such posts at the moment – I can’t even read most of the comments I get anymore, my job is so demanding.
