A peculiar hybrid of personal journal, dilettantish punditry, pseudo-philosophy and much more, from an Accidental Expat who has made his way from Hong Kong to Beijing to Taipei and finally back to Beijing for reasons that are still not entirely clear to him…

Gordon, this is so cool! Now you’ll be able to find your wieners in a blackout. (Just in case in a blackout your first thought is, damn, I’d sure like a hot dog.)

Good one, Gordon!
Will, just read your new post about sneezing. You should warn readers not to read it while they’re eating. Soooo disgusting.

I don’t know about glow in the dark hotdogs, but it would certainly make for an interesting pet.
Just think of the stories you could tell people.
Yeah….he didn’t start glowing like that until he got loose in the landfill. 🙂

Will, your comment on the Hotdogs was right on.
David Letterman had a clip of the pigs on his show just a minutes ago saying it was a hit for Ball Park Franks.
First there were glow in the dark pigs, now it’s
hermaphrodite Polar bears and cyclop kittens.
I hate to ask, but what’s next? Cows with
wings?

Mutant Frog had a classic remark on them:
“There is no word yet on how bioluminescence will affect the God Pig industry. According to a report last year in the Taipei Times “some farmers even pour metal into their pigs before a contest in order to increase the swine’s weight.” All said, we seen to be well on the way to one-ton partially metallic bioluminescent god pigs. All it takes it one minor lab accident and we’re in the middle of a 1950’s horror movie.”

Will:
I have yet to find an American hotdog that I believe contains actual pork.
Maybe this would settle the debate once and for all. At least until they make glow in the dark alley cat.
