I have no idea who that guy is, but he is a bit of a prick!

That said, he was sort of right about many European countries. There’s a lot of fear of the outside world, insecurity in how to deal with globalisation etc – that’s where the expression “Fortress Europe” comes from. Roll down the drawbridge and hunker down, because everything outside your walls is big and scary…….

Plus we had the recent farse over Afghanistan, where all the contributory nations refused to contribute towards a 1,000 man flexible reserve, despite the fact it could make or break the deployment. I don’t know – maybe they always expect us to make up the numbers, despite the fact we already have the largest force there and are pretty much at our maximum deployment threshold world-wide.

Seriously, if Europe doesn’t stop cowering under the bed one day someone’s going to haul them out and kick their face in – obviously then it will too late to try to “do” something.

I think maybe you saw the wrong video, Raj – the link is to a Bill O’Reilly clip. but unfortunately the way the page opens it’s easy to open the wrong video on the US and Europe…. If you wait for the page to open (and it’s painfully slow tonight), it’ll take you to the O’Reilly clip.

Well it had a reporter bloke talking to some guy saying “we don’t do personal attacks”, then it had a screaching noise and bites of him making attacks on everyone.

Ok, sorry if I misunderstood you! The page opens on another video that I thought you were commenting on, as I didn;t remember the O’Reiully clip being about Europe, but about his many short, brutal personal attacks, right or wrong.

That title was probably meant to be spelled “Personal” attacks. Who is this Mick you’re talking about? Is he important, or just another TV talking head? If he’s just a TV guy, ignore him; Bg Blog has supplanted most, if not all of them already.
