A peculiar hybrid of personal journal, dilettantish punditry, pseudo-philosophy and much more, from an Accidental Expat who has made his way from Hong Kong to Beijing to Taipei and finally back to Beijing for reasons that are still not entirely clear to him…

I completely agree.
PS – Shouldn’t you be removing the “Living in Taipei” signs?

I can’t remove the Living in Taipei artwork – only my site designer can, and I’ve asked her more than once. Patience….
About “fights” – a casual remark I made over dinner got picked up by a blogger. It wasn’t a big complaint, just an observation that some people come here looking for a heated exchange. It seems I can’t put up anything without an ensuing shouting match. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that.)
