Look after yourself. Try to relax.
(And all the other annoying things that Chinese people keep telling me.)
If you stay up all night, it won’t change the results.

I trust Richard, that should President Bush win a second term, not only with sufficient college votes, but also with more votes than Kerry nationwide, that you will then put aside your refusal to acknowledge him as your legitimate president, and possibly even call him by his real name?

Li En, I won’t accuse him of stealing the election ig, when the dust settles, we know he won fairly. And if, in light of how divided the country is, he attempts to reach out to those who feel disenfranchised, I’ll credit him for it. But if he makes bad decisions and if Iraq becomes even worse, I’ll be the first to call him on it.

Thanks Fiona. I’m too depressed to post right now, but I’ll beback soon. This is a painful morning for me, and I’ve got to get back on my feet. It looks like bush won fairly, and I’ve got to accept the sad fact that I live in a conservative country in which I am a minority in every way. But this won’t silence me. Au contraire, I’ll be more outspoken than ever, if there is cause to be. After an entire year of work, it’s hard to accept this but I will.

Vaara, I just put up a post that makes that exact same point, about accountability now being on shrub’s shoulders. Still, the idea of 4 more years of htis nightmare makes me almost physically sick. I just watched Kerry’s gracious, articulate concession speech and was holding back tears, wondering why we can’t have a president who can reach out and communicate with the people.
