Oh, brave new world….
All I’ll say is rarely if ever have I seen so much hot air and so many cliches crammed into a single document of such extraordinary meaninglessness (and no shortage of hypocrisy, either). Mindnumbingly stupid.

A peculiar hybrid of personal journal, dilettantish punditry, pseudo-philosophy and much more, from an Accidental Expat who has made his way from Hong Kong to Beijing to Taipei and finally back to Beijing for reasons that are still not entirely clear to him…

“Differences and disputes must be solved through peaceful means rather than through unilateralism or coercion. There should be no use or threatened use of force”
Unless, of course, you are threatening it at Taiwan.
“Diversity in cultures and civilizations should not be the source of conflict, but rather resources from which all countries can learn.”
After all, Tibet has been quite the resource…

There is no hot air.
As we all know, America always want to expand its power for its own economic benefit. As we all know, Ameirca always want to get more power for its economic benefit.
And we all know, China is a Rising Power, China can say No to American hegemony.
America always want power, America always believe in its power, America always say “We are justice” but now China can stand up and say No to American hegemony. And Russia maybe is China friend now, so how can you not agree?
America always want power, America always hegemony, now China and Russia say no to America.
I am a student of International Politics in Beijing, and soon I get my PhD for writing all sorts of mindless plagiarised shit like this!
(Um, this has all been sent, in a satiric spirit, from Ivan, who has met too many Chinese “scholars” of “international politics”….
🙂 🙂

PS,
As we all know, America always want hegemony for its economic benefits.
As we all know, America against China because America want Taiwan for economic benefit.
As we all know, America want to limit China because America afraid of China’s GDP.
As we all know, Chairman Mao liberated the oppressed. Now get out your little Red Books and shout:
“MAO! MAO! Ten thousand years for MAO, he is the Sun in our Hearts, MAO, he liberated us from all superstition!….”

how do you know what america wants? were you at that meeting? we really all have to wake up and smell the coffee. this nationalistic bullshit belongs in the last century! us and them…what rubbish. we are all people of earth, some of us like to spit, and some dont. we have to band together, and recognize the common threat. we are being visited by highly advanced extra terrestrials, and it is a secret at teh highest levels. its time for full disclosure of the threat.
standing up to american hegemony…puhlease! what about the mind reading aliens from the other dimension…are the the enemy or not?

Here’s my favorite:
Oooookay.
How about Resolution 1353 (XIV) calling for “respect for the fundamental human rights of the Tibetan people and for their distinctive cultural and religious life.”
Or Resolution 1723 (XVI) calling for “the cessation of practices which deprive the Tibetan people of their fundamental human rights and freedom including their rights to self-determination.”
Or Resolution 2079 (XX) calling for “the cessation of all practices which deprive the Tibetan people of the human rights and fundamental freedoms which they have always enjoyed.”
Just asking. . . .

“New world order” – sounds very 1984-ish doesn’t it.
But there is actually a worrying side to this. There was an Economist article recently talking about how China & Russia are trying to turn Central Asia into their playground again. That won’t be good for the poeple of the region, especially with the kind of things China & Russia believe in…..
