OK, I’ll go by there. I’m notatall thrilled with that nomination. Can we put in a word for the McCain amendment there, too?

Just Say “NO” to Miers
The Horse’s Mouth is opposed to the nomination of Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court of the United States.

I’m sure Miers is a very nice lady, but I think a lifetime appointment to the highest court in the land, a court which can change laws and even presidents, deserves someone who has at least a little experience working as a judge.
Maybe W should ask his friend “Brownie” if any of those arabian horse judges are available.

Hell, I’m a die-hard opponent of Bush-haters … (not so much a Bush fan necessarily) … but, on this count, I’m with the enemy. She’s not a good choice, and shouldn’t be appointed.

Washington believed that the man selected to lead the country had to be the best- been there, done that. Not someone who learns on the job or has no interest in reflecting on the job as George Will said last month.
The Republicans should have started at the top rather than get things to this stage in the first place; their callous disregard for the country to choose the most suitable should have such contempt hurled back at them.
