this sounds remarkably like the legend of the Sikh martyr Babar Deep Singh who carried on fighting despite getting a deep cut on his neck which almost severed his head off – supposedly he held his head to his neck with one hand while continuing to wield his massive double bladed sword with the other and only collapsed when he entered the Parkarma of Harmandar Sahib.

Hmm.. well, it’s pretty amazing the guy is still alive. Thanks to sheer luck that his spinal column was okay, he didn’t end up as another mortality..
