Staff Sgt. Camilo Mejia is a 28-year-old member of the Florida National Guard who served six harrowing months in Iraq, went home to Miami on a furlough last October, and then refused to return to his unit when the furlough ended. He has been charged with desertion.

Sergeant Mejia led an infantry squad and saw plenty of action. But the more he thought about the war — including the slaughter of Iraqi civilians, the mistreatment of prisoners (which he personally witnessed), the killing of children: Sergeant Mejia spoke about a friend of his, a sniper, who he said had shot a child about 10 years old who was carrying an automatic weapon. “He realized it was a kid,” said Sergeant Mejia. “The kid tried to get up. He shot him again, [fatally].”……the ineptitude of inexperienced, glory-hunting military officers and the growing rage among coalition troops against all Iraqis (known derisively as “hajis,” the way the Vietnamese were known as “gooks”) — the more he thought about these things, the more he felt that this war could not be justified, and that he could no longer be part of it.

“You just sort of try to block out the fact that they’re human beings,” he said. “You call them hajis, you know?

The issues he has raised deserve a close reading by the nation as a whole, which is finally beginning to emerge from the fog of deliberate misrepresentations created by Bush, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz et al. about this war.

Where did you get that ridiculous idea? America is the greatest fanatic of “Freedom & Liberty.”
As famous American comedian George Carlin in his “America is full of shit rant, said it better than anyone else:
” America is founded by a handful of white slave owners who declared that All man are created equal..well, except for women, children, Niggers and Indians.”

The United States in the name of Freedom & Democracy has been involved militarily, through the use of missiles or bombs, with 22 countries since the end of World War II.

These include: China 1945-46, 1950-53;
Korea 1950-53;
Guatemala 1954, 1960, 1967-69;
Indonesia 1958;
Cuba 1959-61;
Congo 1964;
Peru 1965;
Laos 1964-73;
Vietnam 1961-73;
Cambodia 1969-70;
Lebanon 1983-84;
Grenada 1983;
Libya 1986,
El Salvador 1980s;
Nicaragua 1980s;
Panama 1989;
Iraq 1991 to present day;
Somalia 1993; Bosnia (Republic of Srpska) 1995;
Sudan 1998;
Yugoslavia 1999; and Afghanistan 1998, 2001-02.
Make no mistake about it: Fanatical America is the greatest Terrorist Group in the history of mankind!
However, added to this figure of 22 would be at least 18 other countries which were on the receiving end of bombing during the two World Wars, such as Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Hungary, Italy, Tunisia, Greece, Austria, Romania, Japan, Thailand, Nauru, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, the Marshall Islands, Singapore, and the Phillipines.

So in total there have been at least 40 countries.
