Lots of outrage is merited over new revelations of how involved Saudi Arabia, at the highest levels, was/is with al Qaeda and the 911 attacks.
So why does Bush always point the outrage toward Iraq while bending over backwards for our Saudi “friends”? (Could it be the “o” word?) What will it take to wake America up as to where this outrage should really be channeled. After reading the new piece in Slate, I can only wonder why we aren’t all up in arms.

Yes, this is a good point.
Since it doesn’t seem that WMD was the main issue, I have difficulty understanding why the US didn’t ‘invade’ Saudi Artabia. Just a thought. It might even have proved easier to establish democracy there, then take-on Iraq later.

I disagree – it would have been harder to establish a democracy in the country that is home to Mecca and Medina, the two holy sites of Islam, as well as the home of fundementalist Islam.
Which doesn’t erase the fact that the US does need to take care of Wahhabism (spelling?) that is being condoned, and how the kingdom is used as a base for terrorism (via funding).
