Global warming in action – a moving video illustrates how the rapidly disappearing glaciers of Tibet are melting the culture away with the ice. Thought-provoking and refreshingly apolitical.

I thought Richard Gere said the evil disgusting horrible immoral devious Han Chinese flooding Tibet with AIDS and bubonic plague are what’s killing them?
Not to mention that genocidal man made quakes those nasty Hans are creating, according to nanhe.

Merp, you’ve never seen this site endorse or quote Richard Gere. Ever. So what are you babbling on about?

I have a suspicion that Richard Gere is starting to physically resemble the Dalai Lama… 🙂 Or is it the other way around?

stuart more or less agrees with him. so does N_a_S, and many other short term posters.
that said I had to pause at around 5:45, beautiful place. I love the part where the old Tibetan man blames the Japanese climbers for it.
According to what mainstream Western media tells us, you’d expect him to say the evil, horrible, awful Han Chinese are culturally genociding them so bad that the mountain is crying a river of snow tears every night.

“stuart more or less agrees with him.”
Never met the guy. But I could have a civil conversation with him if I did, old sport – whether I agreed with him or not. That’s just the kind of guy I am.

Clearly, old chap, because throwing in ridiculous English pomp into everything clearly makes anything you say civil.

10 points to the person who can answer what causes the world’s sea level to rise. (The answer isn’t obvious)

I know this one: it’s the quantity of anal discharge that accompanies feromerp’s responses. One more post on Tibet and Expo 2010 could be washed away.

I think merps stopped taking his medication again.
The video is indeed thought-provoking and well worth watching.
Good to have you back Richard and as for your fellow Arizonans – it’s not easy to make the right decisions when your paranoid and scared… and sometimes things have to get worse before they can get better so it might not be such a bad piece of legislation; in the longer term.

Then hold off on deciding the fate of millions until your head is clear. Some of these AZ voters need to be pimpslapped.

A single-cell organism like you can still log onto the internet and post? This is a scientific discovery.
